problems ma-600 infrared adaptor |

hi
ive just bought a ma-600 infrared adaptor and if i put it in the com port, and instal the program, he just wont find it, i put it in com 1 and he sais i have to put it in com 4 but i dont have a com 4 so what can i do???

Have you enabled COM1 in your BIOS?

Check the system BIOS of your mainboard. The hardware resource of the COM port should be set as: COM1 -- 3F8-3FF, IRQ4; COM2 -- 2F8-2FF, IRQ3. The COM port must be Enabled. If MA-600 is connected to COM2, COM2 should be set as standard UART port. You should not enable the Infrared feature of COM2.

You can also try changing your "COM1" to COM4 by changing the settings in the BIOS, by changing the IRQ and the I/O range . |
