I am sure, many members in this forum have already heard of the new Club Sony Ericsson ( www.club-sonyericsson.com ). I have visted that site and posted a couple of messages already. Its very similar to this forum but I personally feel this is a better site. Of course that is just my opinion.

I feel there is no direct competition between these two forums because in the long run both of these will have same members, same posts, same topics, same rumors and same garbage from people like me. At the end all of us will end up visiting both the sites just to see the same thing over and over again.

What is worse is that, we might end up loosing both the forums because neither of them are profit oriented. They both give free services such as logos and ringtones. In this age, its money that is the foundation of websites and not the look of the website or how many posts or topics there are. Even the number of members doesn't count unless there is money coming from them. After all I would rather have one member who shells out £100 than a forum with 500 members who don't even contribute a penny.

Esato is better (in my view) because it has a history of all the posts, rumors, tips and tricks and very huge database on forum discussions on all the Ericsson phones. Yes some of the posts are garbage (I plead guilty for quite a bit of garbage), but hey there is also gold in this forum. We have learnt a lot from this forum - and inspite of difficulties Laffen has kept it free.

We have made good friends, we have had tiffs and laughs... we are basically addicted to Esato. Its our 'unofficial' homepage for many of us. We owe a lot to Esato (from our mobiles point of view) and I for one will stick with Esato

These are my views ... others will surely have their own!

Yeah, I agree with you. I will stick to Esato because of all the reasons you mentioned above. I will continue to check Esato 30 times a day and be as obsessed with this site as I've been until now

Esato makes money from the advert at the top of every page. The number of members and the number of hits per day does indeed count.

I'll of course stick to this. I like the way hings are layed out and the simplicity. The phbb forum on the other one is too 'curvy' and makes me

there's gold but it's difficult to get to when most of you are posting "quite a bit of garbage"

i will always visit different forums, in the same way i will always be open minded about what my next phone will be.

the other forums i visit are:

....actually, i'd rather most of you didnt visit them!
just stay here, this is the best....honest.

Please note... much (if not all) of the garbage that I & some of my friends post are in the zone marked for this purpose 'Garbage threads' or 'Mobile phone free zone'. At times we have specially requested Laffen to provide us with a specific discussion zone for special topics - such as world cup. The moderators are also quite active in removing or moving the garbage, if it doesn't fit into a proper discussion.

In that sense Esato is good because people can actually post garbage and vent out their feelings, anger, frustration, funnies or corny jokes in a proper area. Such posts are only to be expected in a forum which has more than 4000 members - and where some of the members get to know each other pretty well. Other forums do not provide for this and in the long run get mixed up with quality posts and it would become very hard to search any decent topic.

What is nice about Esato is that its members are from all over the world! When i have to ask anything about SE phones it gives me a feeling of gaining more knowledge when forumers from other countries reply. I reserve my localized posts on another forum site dedicated to Pinoy cellusers. And to talk about the World Cup is a nice touch by Esato cause soccer is not that big in the Philippines. Kudos to Esato then. Ü
