Cannot sync outlook with K700i |

I just bought a K700i and have been trying to sync with outlook contacts but with no luck. I got the error message 'session failed. invalid server response'. I can transfer files from it to my laptop using infrared with no problems. Can someone give me some hints? thanks.

Are you using the software on the computer to synch with the phone? If so, the computer instigates the synch session, not the phone. I use this software via Bluetooth and it works fine.
The other method is using the "Synchronization" option under "Connectivity". However, this uses GPRS to synch with a computer. I'm on Orange and they haven't set this function up yet. I used this method with a Panasonic X70 and found it very good.

Ahhh The great sync debate. Will it never end?
In my past 10 years of owning mobile phones, there has always been inherent problems with phone to PC backup/sync. (The P800/900 is the absolute classic for this. Can I get a witness???). I got so fed up with buying cables and failed file transfers that I sought something else. I looked at remtote sync companies. These allow you to back up your numbers from your phone without a PC connection directly from your phone via a "data call" I tried a few like "mightyphone" ( It refused to work) and "sync your mobile" (These guys actually lost my mates data!!) but now I personally use www.phonesaved.com and I like it cuz its network and handset independant. I changed my nokia 7250i (Orange) for a SE K700i (Vodaphone? whats with the crappy icons?) and it downloaded my 354 contacts, from my web account, to my K700i in FIVE minutes. I was shocked!! It backs up ALL your handsets info and U also get the ability to sync Two Handsets per account!!
I know this might sound like im evangelising but its only cuz it's nice to see a product that:
A. Actually works
B. Is not at a ripoff price
Me mate had a problem with his Nokia 3650 and a guy from phonesaved support actually met him and fixed the problem!!
TIP!!
If ya contact them direct, you can get one of their scratch cards. It only costs £2 per month and ya get the first two months free!!! ;o) |

Hey I have the same problem. My Outlook is 97 and the spec for the sync software states it only covers 2002 and newer, so I think thats my problem, but dunno if it applies to you problem
