I've seen about 5 spam threads pop up on weekdays at around 5-9 PM

Can't we do something about this?

I've done a few funny things like send them PM's where they get 70 popups, etc., but i think we need to take care of this problem before it grows. [addsig]

well i don't care if you post in the market threads, but the posts need to be kept to one and not posted in the tips and tricks, general, and p900 threds.

Yesterday some guy was advertising auto insurance here. [addsig]

I don't think that members sending PMs to the spammer or posting on every post they make, is any solution nor is it really any better than the spammer themselves.

The only thing members should do if they spot spam before a moderator does is to PM a moderator (once please ) informing them of the spam.

Indeed this solution works for anything you see on Esato that you disagree with. Send a PM to a moderator and they will deal with is as neccessary and appropriate

thanks!
