i heard that they are the same phone but the f500i has the vodafone customized software.
so I wander if I can flash it with a k500i software it will work ???

it is the same phone... except for Voda Live customizations...
you can not upgrade it in a legal way... the only legal upgrade would be to sell your F500 and buy K500

Just to reiterate, that you can flash the F500 with K500 software if you want to.
