"It added that it [Nokia] expected to have shipped 10 colour-screen models by the end of this year, with over half of shipped handsets to have colour screens next year. "

Mmmm So that would make 7 colour-screen phones left to be unveiled

That does sound very nice,..they need "low-end/low price" models with colorscreen,..and of course some high-tech ones as well (with java, bluetooth and all that stuff)

Too many color phones coming out, I'll wait till the overproducing trend slows down a bit...

The only problem I see, is that the Nokia phones are often pretty similar to each other. I mean, how different is a 6510 from an 8310? How different is the 6610 from the 7210?

Would like to see Nokia come up with a proper "top end" phone, and I don't mean Vertu!

What do you mean shit phone? Lack of objectivity

Nokia has obviously different product categories (fashion like 7210, 8310, classic like 6610, 6510, etc), so I don't think it's surprising to see two phones with the same features but different looks.
Everybody is different, so are the phones If people have choice, they are happier. And I think it's a quite smart approach. That's why Nokia came up with the different covers earlier... and that every company has copied.

If SE had come up with it, you'd probably have thought it's great.

Though I understand you are from Sweden and tends to prefer Ericsson, fair enough

Though, I agree that top end (feature-packed) and low end color phones are missing at the moment. But for how long? 'hope not too long

I guess the 7650 is going to be the high end model. Will be very interesting to see how well it sells.

It will be a good thing if it sells well, because that will drive MMS.
If networks see camera phones selling well, they'll tailor their price plans for mass market instead of just high end (expensive) services.

7650 is just an oversized phn with cam. Better to hav t68+mca 20; i hav used 7650 last wkend, during a demo of mms in our country. The 7650 feel very plastic. The mca20s pix is some what better. Check out www.pbase.com/dan47 and see the pic quality urself
