I am being driven crazy by the right soft key. It is the - key above the C key. If I hit it by mistake it connects me to the internet. I have already change the side online button to take me to new message. Is there a way to do that with the soft key? Any way to change the up joystick to keep it from going to java?
Thanks in advance,

Most likely it is... but it's equivalent to the t630. I'll take a quick look at mine.

Ok.. Tried it on mine (Cingular branded)... The right soft key on mine is labeled as "more"... as in more options. It's also used to key lock the phone...

t637 is a US phone with 1900/850/900 or 1800 mhz... It's liquid black and I think that's the only differences.

It is AT&T branded. It is also the end call key and the mMode key. I would really like to lock out the internet unless I want to sign on. Something to keep me from doing it by mistake.

Hmm.. wait a few weeks until the buyout of AT&T and see if you can do a warranty exchange for a Cingular branded phone. By the way, ours come subsidy unlocked. Or maybe in your settings, you can set the phone to auto key lock.. see if that helps.

I can lock the keys. I just want to change that keys function or lock the phone from connecting to the internet.

Damn... AT&T really sucked on doing that... You're not meaning the side soft key right?? The one on the side of the phone that's STRICTLY for wap and there's no way to change it?

No. I already changed that one to go to new message. I was hoping it would affect the other key as well but it did not. Also up on the joystick does a java connect.
