......for me!!!!
Firstly: DONT BARF!!!!
ok.... now that we got that sorted out.
I got up this morning thinking : 'What would be the most perfect phone for me?'.
Well Since I am a nokia lover, and really like their new series of designs, I told myself, it must be a nokia. Another thing, I am currently forced to use an I-Mate Phone Edition as Nokia doesent have any good (or Any at all, one may say) PDA/Smartphone or Combination of both. Sad....Very sad.
So....ahem (back to topic) I decided to use my artistic skills (And lots of photoshop) to help me design my most desirable phone.
Before you throw any criticism at me, remember this : This phone (Sort of fantasy) is only what a perfect phone would be for me.
Every one is entitled and invited to post their criticism and post what YOUR perfect phone may be.
Here is :
Specifications :
32 bit colour touchscreen (2,048,000 colours)
520Mhz Intel PXA 260 (i think this is the one)
Windows XP Embedded (we should start seeing this on phones soon. right )
256 MB Internal Shared RAM
GSM Quad Band, GPRS Class-10, EDGE (etc.)
2 MegaPixel Camera (with Preferably 2x Optical Zoom)
ATI Imageeon (2D Graphics Accelerator, Its the one in the new IPaq's)
SD/MMC Expandion Slots Supporting SDIO (Also an atachment to be available later for Video Calls)
Battery Life: 240 hours Standby (320 Hours on Flight Mode). 12 hours Talk Time, and 24 hours PDA use.
Note : Must Carry Nokia Design Only. ( I know this line will make the SE lovers Kill me ::lol:: )
Go easy on me.... Chao |

2megapixel??? it's just a phone 1.3 Mp is good
must put a second cam in front for videocall

For me . . . Had the SE K700/i just had a memory card slot, minus the bugs + a very good battery life (say, 2 weeks stand-by time), then truly it just would be the 'perfect' fone . . . for now! |

@ Flying Finn : I know you're right, what you said reminded me of this one guy who walks up to a nokia guy in the CeBit 2000 and says "Hey I believe Nokia will be Replacing EPOC with a new OS in the new Communicator, Would that by any chance be Windows CE for H/PC?" Hell I was wishing he would say "yes" infact i would have settled for a "no comment.", Alas he said "EPOC would now be Symbian OS.".
Very sad. Sniff :'( |

i really really doubt if nokia's gonna let microsoft touch the communicator!!
btw.. nokia has a huge stake in symbian, so it makes more sense for it to continue development into symbian. |

@Domi, I wish they produced all the phones there!! At least we would have some design from which actually choose! I love the idea of so many different designs, even though I wouldn't buy many of those, I still think that's the way to look at mobile phones.
Look at the S700 and compare it to some of the models listed on that site. The difference is clear...
Back to topic. I also would prefer a phone without Microsoft based OS, but on the other hand I would love for it to run office... So I guess I will wait for some MacOS based phone to come out...
Seriously, I think a smart phone that cannot edit Excel, Word or PowerPoint is harder to sell that one that can...
I personally don't like the proposed design too much, and it has nothing to do with it being taken from Nokia (just to make things clear). The proportions don't seem to fit. Looks to me as being too long and I wonder how one would protect that big screen...
Is it a touchscreen?

First up, I think it's spelled Ciao... anyway, the day Windoze becomes the standard OS on mobile phones... is the day I go back to 2 cans a a string. Much more reliable.
I'm happy with Symbian... I'm VERY happy with the UIQ division. I can't wait to see UIQ 3 on phones.
Series 60 is all right I guess for the average person. It's still a much better OS than anything MS could come up with.
