K700 Bugs |

Does anyone know if there is a list of K700i bugs being maintained anywhere? I have searched and I can't find one.
When I do, I have the following to add:
When scrolling through the phone book, it displays the wrong phone numbers! Not all the time, but if you have 50 or 100 numbers maybe 10% to 20% of them will be wrong! Only if you edit the entry is the correct number displayed. Try it for yourselves. Compare the numbers displayed with a print out or whatever you have in Outlook, or whatever. You will see they don't match up.
I regard this as an extremely serious bug. I often have to read a phone number out to someone and the fact that the K700i is displaying the wrong number is completely unacceptable.
BTW this is with firmware R2L001.
Cheers,

Strange. I have seen others with the same problem as me. I wonder why you guys didn't experience it.
My K700i is unbranded. What about yours?

If you add or edit a lot of entries at a time without going out of the phonebook you get this problem that some perons have the same number displayed as the person above that person solution is to go in and out of the phonebook after each addition or change you made to an entry. |

Sony phones have always had bugs, you'd think we'd be used to it by now.
Go with the flow I say. As long as the phone makes and receives calls and looks good all is well with the world

You are right the bug happens when you edit entries. But there is a way to fix it easily. When a wrong number is displayed, it is because the DEFAULT number of the contact has been edited. So you only have to re-set the DEFAULT number (it is an option in the "other" menu) even if there is only one number in the contact..

I agree that this is a serious bug, a fundamental error, which really puts the whole idea of an electronic phonebook on your phone to rest. I haven't checked, but I'm sure the first EVER commercial mobilephone had this possibility, and that it displayed the number you stored to a given contact.
I received a vCard from a friend, and chose to store the contact, let's say her name was Patty B. There was already another Patty stored in my phone, let's say Patty A. Immediately, I started writing an SMS to Patty B. Unaware of it, when I scrolled to Patty B to send the SMS to her, the phone chose Patty A's number!!!!!!! YES IT'S TRUE!! Undoubtedly, I found myself in a very peculliar situation a few SMS'es later. To think that MY OWN PHONE could screw me that way is unthinkable!!
How often do you really STOP to check the number of a contact? I check the name, and the icon (of course, I have stored the correct numbers in the correct slots, ie home, work, mobile etc), then i press dial/send. We live in a busy world, you know. It's supposed to go fast.
Anyway... I had to delete the contact and store it manually. Weird. I got the vCard from a T630. Should be compatible, right?
I can't trust my phone no more... And that was supposed to be my "best friend"... Who knows if it's sending MMS'es of me, naked, to everybody in my contact list as we speak. Hell, I'm sure the phone took the picstures as well...
