Yeah I managed it eventually, S700i flashed!

First time round I was sent a dodgy cable which overheated, unfortunately my phone had already got half way through flashing - this caused it to stop working.

Then the face off mobiles sent me a replacement cable- which still couldn't re-awaken my fone, I got an error message saying that the serial speed was too high- even though it was set at the right speed in both control panel and in the total server menu.

So then I got a replacement from Voda(aren't we clever lets mess up perfectly good fones with badly designed and ugly firmware which makes you connect to our WAP services so we can greedily guzzle your money)fone - no feelings of guilt associated with lying to them I can tell you.

It flashed ok in the end, but it is a touch and go process, if your internet connection fails half way through, it doesn't seem to matter as long as you can reconnect before it finishes.

REMEMBER TO ONLY FLASH ONE FILE AT A TIME! FIRMWARE FIRST THEN DEFAULT LANGUAGE.
