I am looking for a T630 wallpaper creator which can compact the image to less than a set size (K). The wallpapers I make seem to be over 15K (max allowed) on Zedge and try as I might I cannot seem to whittle it down.

I cannot use gif's also (tried that one).

Can anyone recommend a good wallpaper creator?

Thanks

Photoshop allows you to re size any image... You can also select compression over quality when converting them too...

If you chose SAVE AS in the menu and save as a jpg the you should have the option to change the quality of the pic over compression... I'll try it now and then confirm it... I'm using PS7 by the way...

Edit
Ok i just tried it... it only works if you are changing the file to a jpg from some other format... eg. a bmp to a jpg...
So save the file as a bmp then reload it and save as a jpg... you should the get the quality/compression option...

You could give my new toy a try:
http://www.pfym.co.uk and http://www.pfym.com

Not sure if it will do better than yuo managed by hand, but it'd be worth a shot.

If you can think of any improvements (apart from getting the image options finished (or, in fact, started) in the theme editor), let me know!

The refresh button on the colour selector (theme creator) was a bit tiny (could do with a bigger button) same for the Refresh when amendments are remade.

One last thing which option do I select to amend the hilighting bar (would like to change it to the a solid colour rather than a squashed picture).

Another feature would be a 2nd picture feature for the themes so you can have a main and a 2nd'ery for other screens.

Would you like me to email anything else later?

re: 'apply' and 'refresh' commands - I plan to improve these at some point.

re: options for the highlight bars and background images: I have a large number of options planned (solid colour, gradient fill, raised/lowered 3D effect, shadows/halos for the icons, gradient fills/shades for status/softkey areas, and so on). They'll get implemented as and when I have some free time and no pub to go to!

Feel free to mail me any ideas you don't mind me using (though I already have a long list of things I've thought of myself). I'll have to put together a 'coming soon' features page...
