On checking my service providers site (singlepoint/vodafone) they state a max mms of 30kb. I did this after trying to send a mate a vid message only to have it stay in my outbox for what seemed like a lifetime and not do anything other than connect to the web (haven't checked my bill yet but I would put money on it that I will be charged for this)
I would suggest you check this out with your service provider and ensure your multimedia messages be them video or picture stay just under whatever max size they quote (for me that would be a pretty short clip) This will deffinately have a baring on length of clip that you can send as well.
As for the video length settings, you should have an option if you select more whilst in video mode then select video length, which will allow you to change to unlimited. I have this option and have the latest firmware. This option was also available to me when I had the original firmware on the phone. It is worth noting that my phone is unbranded so I can't comment on whether this is the same for a branded phones.

I haven't tried sending to anyone on 3, will have to find someone to try it.
Perhaps because 3 network allows for streaming and stuff the size of the clip is not an issue, apparenty vodafone are doing the 3 network stuff soon if not already, but as I said vodafone to vodafone certainly through my network provider at present won't allow mms that size.
The standard length of video on the k700 is set for just 11 seconds to ensure the clips are less than 100kb. As I understand it 100kb is the benchmark, although networks vary so I'm not saying you can't send bigger (as you obviously have) but this is what they have based the shorter option video length around !!
I would be interested in knowing whether you have managed to send a large clip from vodafone to vodafone ? If you have i will be straight on to my provider giving them some stick !!

My service provider now owned by Vodafone now allow up to 100KB as I found out today after getting in touch to try and see if they could sort my problem after receiving a larger file from a buddy today but not being able to send a simular size back. All it would do is sit in my outbox, he would receive notification but message in his inbox would show up grey and couldn't be downloaded
They sent me new settings, but I still had problems, so I've now reset the phone (not a master reset), which deleted all wap and mms settings. Went to site and downloaded settings for wap and mms and have sent a vid clip to a mate at 90kb with no probs !
