Just got this reply from Orange via their website:

Dear James

Thank you for your Email.

Unfortunately we have no plans to launch the SE S700i on the Orange network in the near future.

For alternative handsets please visit www.orange.co.uk

I've contacted them three times on the subject and never even had a response!! Hopefully if enough people make contact with them about it they will stand up and take notice, but somehow I doubt it!!!

i'd change network because from the conversations i have had with Orange via phone and e-mail, the S700 is not even on review for possible release, let alone any dates when it might appear. They told it would be a long time, if ever, that it would be on Orange, which annoys me because of the crap nokia's they offer instead.

I'm not that fussed about getting the phone anyway, I was just wondering why they hadn't released it.....it won't make me switch network, cause Orange is the best UK network and I'm quite happy with the service I'm getting!

I sent an email to Orange about the S700i as well, and got the same response. Shame, still here's hoping for the future, eh?

Eh. The S700i is near the end of it production life now so they will never sell it. The K750i is better anyway and Orange sell that.
