its soooo much better now, battery life is pretty much normal ads on a day at least n thts with heavy usage, no more jerky videos when i download em to my fone the games are faster but not stupidly fast i mean the ones tht u get tht are really slow and now tht tennis game is a challenge cos it runs at a normal smooth speed which means future 3d games actually will quik n fluent.

R2M? I have not heard of this firmware revision before. Could you just recheck and get back to me (>*<<*<*), so I can update my K700 / K500 Firmware overview thread if necessary.

Which brand of phone so you own?

If you guys check some of this manunitedfan's other posts (some of which have already been deleted) you will see that he is most probably making this up...

Oh yes you are...

I've just performed an online update on my phone and it's still the same old R2L002....

I have to defend manunitedfan a bit...he talked about a good doom game for the k700i, and he really and it and shared it here: stalknshoot

So i give him the benefit of the doubt...and maybe that r2m is the new r2aa

The likelyhood is that it is either R2L or R2AA. R2AA is present on EMMA, which is what the Carphone Warehouse will probably have used.

I am rather suprised Manunitedfan found such differences between R2L and his new (presumably R2AA) firmware. The main feature is the quick phonebook lookup feature - performance and battery life shouldn't have altered much. Additionally, he shouldn't really have realy posted that he had R2M when he doesn't actually know what firmware revision he has!!

The real question is really, does the new firware fix the battery drain and other bugs or is it just cosmetics?

now that we know its R2AA003 (and not R2M) we should continue in the original thread for that firmware version so its all in one place

R2AA003 added to Total Server
