I've just replaced the casing on a Samsung T100 (very carefully as it's a very fiddly job, especially that damned ribbon! ) and now the active flip doesn't work! You flip open the phone, and it doesn't answer or end calls, and when you close the flip, the inside LCD backlight doesn't completely go off. Also the front LCD light has stopped working completely (was a bit intermittent anyway). I suspect it could be the ribbon connector that goes from the PCB to the screen part of the phone - but when I look at it it looks fine. Could this ribbon be causing these problems?
Also, the side volumne buttons are a little odd - they've developed a 'hair trigger' type sensitivity, and operate with the slightest of touches, and sometimes goes into the menu. Any ideas there?
Thanks!
A little word of advice - if you like taking phones apart - DON'T take one of these apart - they are a pain in the @rse!!
