i like the r600 and it is almost the same in features as the t65 which i have. if the r600 came out same as the t65 i would've got the r600. buttons are the right size while the t65 is small for my fingers. how much is the r600 and where is it available?

Hi, R600 looks very nice. I've seen it IRL. But there's one negative side about the phone, it doesn't support T9. It uses another kind of text-recognition technology which has fewer words than T9 and it doesn't allow you to add new words. So if your wife writes a lot of SMS, then you should buy her another phone, like T65 or T66

quite nice phone... but the lack of fantasy is obvious... same menu systsem as always in Ericsson phones... since it's a phone that has a lower prize you can't have to high demands for it, but it has the most important functions (like calling ) and GPRS... so if your wife doesn't want any high tech phone with a lot of extra functions R600 is a good choice.

@darknezz if your location means you are in the philippines, i saw globe telecom ads that features the r600 as one of the phones they have on sale. so it is available locally already. HTH.

@kevin81, you are referring to eZiText input method. true, it is not from Tegic which makes the phone less expensive because Ericsson does not have to license that technology.

"but the lack of fantasy is obvious... same menu systsem as always in Ericsson phones..."

And I'd say that is a positive thing, why change the menu-system when it's working very well?
Nokia hasn't changed their menu-system for like 4 years and I think that the menus on SE and Nokia are outstanding compared to firsta and foremost Motorola but also Siemens and Samsung

R600 isn't even on the streets yet and its successor is announced already, the T200. The R600 probably won't be in great volume...
