HBH-300 Headset not working with T610 |

I just got a hbh-300 bluetooth headset sent from hong kong to australia. It's for my fiances Sony Ericsson T610. When I first got it I tried it with my Nokia 6600 and when I turned it on my nokia found it straight away and I paired the devices. They worked really good together. I then went home and tired it with her T610 and it didn't even know it was there when I turned the headset on. I have tried pairing them in every way possible and it's not working. Is there anything I have done by adding it to my nokia first, which has caused the problem? what do I have to do? Help would be great, thanks

You have to put the headset in pairing mode the first time you hook them up. To do so, you either press both volume buttons simultaneously for 5 or 10 seconds, or you hold down the power button (from the "off" position) for the same (not sure which one works on the the 300; I use the 600...). Did you do that?
When you turn the headset on for the first time, it should go into pairing mode automatically, but to pair it to something else, you need to have the LED flashing red-and-green alternately. Otherwise, the device will be invisible to phones with which it has not already been paired.
Not sure if you tried this, but if you haven't, give it a go. pairing it with the Nokia first shouldn't cause any problems, unless you've offended the SE headset by doing so... |

You are a champ! Problem solved!
They did not have any information on this in the instructions, pretty lazy on SE's behalf!!

Sure thing; glad it worked.
The instructions are pretty weak, but if you look carefully on page eight, it says (in pictures anyway) to hold down the call handling button for five secs until the light flashes red and green:

It is in that instruction, but not on page 8 but 26... anyway it has worked already by the earlier advice... |
