I think I'm one step behind you. Could you perhaps help me out:
1) what format did you send it to yourself in?
2) how many characters is it?

See, I'd like to get this ringtone on my phone, but i dunno how. Perhaps you can tell me the theory?
Here are the formats I have:

Nokia Composer Code:

8#c3,16-,16-,16#a2,16#c3,16#d3,8#g2,8-,41,16#f2,16
#g2,8#d2,8-,16-,16#d2,16#f2,16#g2,8#c2

Nokia Keypress Sequence:

18**#,08*,08*,68**#,1*#,2#,59**#,0**,9**,488*#,5#,
29#,0**,08**,28#,4#,5#,19#

Nokia RTTL/Logomanager Code:

DaFunk:d=4,o=5,b=100:8c#7,16p,16p,16a#6,16c#7,16d#
7,8g#6,8p, 16p,16f#6,16g#6,8d#6,8p,16p,16d#6,16f#
6,16g#6,8c#6

I'm a little new to all this, so all help would be appreciated! Thanks!

@jake_westmorley
Since you are new and you don't have an avatar...
I guess you must be using a T68i.
If you are, you might wanna check out
http://www.christersson.org/software_converter.asp
Its a software which converts Nokia RTTTL to iMelody
*You need a T68i or T68m with mms update to use iMelody
There are other cool software there too!

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply!

I have a T66.
I have successfully received a Nokia ringtone off one of those rip-off 1.50-pound-per-minute-3-minute-call-length-sends-you-the-sms-with-ringtones-service... so I know that works... (funny thing is if i then try to forward that sms to someone, the phone reboots on me! - I have software version 426, i think - speaking of which, how do i upgrade that?)
Anyway, back to original post...
I wanted to try typing a ringtone into the phone using the composer, or sending myself an sms, or something, but i haven't figured out how yet...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, thanks, I also went to the website, and got the converter and the composer... But i dunno what to do with the iMelody code?! Also, what is diff between emelody and imelody? The composer has lots of different formats, it's all a little confusing!

Eheh...
Well... lemme see...
You can upgrade your software at your local service centre.
You can go to http://www.mobilne-melodije.net or http://www.phonatic.net for Ericsson keypress ringtones (they sound funny though...)
iMelody is eMelody with some nice improvements...
Vibration, backlight, LED and volume control.
Lastly, i'm not sure about the concept of the t66 composer...
you might wanna search the forum though...
Well... hope that helps...
