This is the flash cable converted to data cable:



Unlike the DRS-10/11 this cable doesn't allow you to plug in the charger. I was wondering if it is safe to graft a 5VDC source into pins 10 and 11? This way charging can happen.

Maybe the 5VDC souce can be the USB port? What do you think?

i have a cable that looks exactly the same, and in the other end it has a serial jack. however, i cannot get it to work with my t68i, although in hyper terminal i can see debug info if i want. i am totally lost here

BTW, I've already grafted a 5V souce into the above plug. I'm using it right now.

I have USB cable which at a same time charges the phone... Is this of any help....?

chorb, the USB port allows devices to draw power directly from the port.

I have a USB phone charger, but I haven't seen a USB data cable for my phone yet. Where were you able to buy it?

that's great aikonoklast! How about a homemade USB data/charger cable?

would you know schematics on how to create one?

No idea how to implement a USB cable....

BTW my 5VDC souce is the charger. I just spliced that plug into the cable. As a bonus my Ericsson charger can now charge even Nokias
