I got a supposedly new sonyericsson T610 (used for 2 weeks) as a birthday gift, my cousin sent it to me.
But i just cant get the display to work, there's no image, no light no nothing, it sounds when i turn it on and the keys lights work fine, i even accidentaly made a phone call, but all this with no display, by pushing buttons blind, I've readed the damn manual like 3 times and cant find out what's wrong, should I open it and check if there's something unpluged or something? help!!!

First step: call your cousin and ask whats up with the fone. It could be dropped at delivery and inside sliped or got loose a connection, let it see in a service. Good luck.

dont try to ruin your phone by opening it.. it is a hardware defect and you can get it replaced.....

If the phone's under warranty then send it back 2 SE and let them look at it. It sounds like the connector that goes between the screen and the phones pcb has come loose. It's an easy 10 min job- if u know what ur doing! If in doubt, leave it 2 the professionals even if the phones out of warranty.

you can open the phone, instructions are elwere on this forum, then u can lift the lcd screen up, and you can see alot of wires (atleast i saw them when i did this.) maybe you see a loose one. But don't do it if you are afraid of destroying it.
