removing branding |

ok sorry to be dumb but can someone clearly explain what i have to do to remove the vodafone branding from my k700i - as far as i can tell i have to flash the phone or something and then get the latest firmware . . . trouble is as i've searched the previous posts there is lots of conflicting views. some say you can't do this yet (the software is not out yet?) while others say you can.
please can someone point me to some step by step instructions on what i need to get and what i need to do to remove the vodafone branding? also if the branding is removed can i then gewt normal software updates from SE online?
i do not mind if the phone can still only be used on vodafone's network though.

I don't know about step by step instructions as I haven't followed the thread in detail but I will ask you to look at the following thread discussing this at great length and then continue there, rather than starting it all again here
