S700 worth it over P910? (PH) |

Went to greenhills yesterday and the S700 is around 39t while the P910 is around 43t. Isnt the S700 a bit overpriced? Or talagang madami syang features over the K700 kaya presyo nya halos P910 na? Mura pa ngayon P900 kesa S700 tuloy.

I've read reviews bout the s700i and it always says its practically the same as a k700i with better cam, bigger body, mem slot (128mb limit). Better go for the p900 than s700i mate.

I read here in esato that you can upgrade a p900 to p910. (not sure though) well if that's the case if there's not much difference in price go for p910.

S700i is available already but it hasn't been officially released. I think if you can wait a little, its starting price wil be rough --- 30k --- NOT 39k! If you want a PDA, buy P910i, features are great and connectivity is far better than s700i.
S700i has a whopping 1.3 megapixel cam though and i think has radio too!
Looks: P910 looks GREATER! look at the keypad of s700i! Eww.. |

Worth it over the p9x0?
Not really, the s700 is way overpriced IMO. It really boils down to what you need... PDA'esque mobile phone or that 1.3mp CCD camera. |

S700 is a big K700 with megapix cam and memory stick support.
P910 is a PDA/smartphone which can do a hell of a lot more, but with pretty much same cam as K700.
depends on what you want to do with it.
if you won't be using PDA functions of P910 and all you want is a megapix cam, then wait for S700 to be released by authorized dealers and you will be able to save some money. |

if p910 is a smart phone, isn't it possible that a third party can perhaps make a software to make the p910's camera shoot over 1 megapixel? |

megapixel capabilities are a hardware issue, not a software one |

I upgraded from a P900 to an S700 and I am much happier with it. My mom has a P910 and it isn't that much different from the P900. The screen and camera are just so much better and the FM radio is another plus. The basic organizer features of the S700 are fine with me and I have a PDA for other things such as playing videos and surfing the web. |

I don't think there is anything more to the P800/P900/P910 than just the "porma" appeal. It feels good to whip out that stylus just to enter somebody's # or write a note or something. If you have or had a PDA, like I did, you might choose the S700i over the SE P-series.

@dinky - Though I am not certain if you already got yourself a P900 or P910 here dude, but better still, go for the SE S700, unless you are into PDA's pal ! The current price of the S700 is pegged at Php 35K (brand new) in the Alabang area. |
