I wonder if the English teacher has become an English Patient. He was supposed to be back today but he still seems to be burning his bum in Kandahar Maybe he has not delivered the 'stuff'

Maybe the 'stuff' wasn't very good and he's struggling to get rid of it!

Hey, I'm back!!!! don't worry, I was in Kandahar, not that close to Kabul...
Anyway, the flight was worse that the time I was there... It was BLOODY hot, i'm used to hot weather, but ejasim, Dubai is COLD compared to it! A guy next to me pissed and I saw the piss just evaporate in about a minute!!! It was pretty funny, the trucks look like the ones in Pakistan, all decorated and with bells around the bottom...
All I could see before I landed was sand, sand and more sand and then bunkers, sandbags and US flags. When I got out of the plane, I was greeted by a load of Yanks holding machine guns, but they looked pretty pathetic... not very impressed with the US Army
They asked me if I spoke English and then just walked around like dumbasses, I then had to cound all the stuff, which actually happened to be the stuff needed to start the Afghanistan Mobile network, so my T68i didn't work there..... (only the MP3, hihi)
It wasn't dangerous at all, the Afghans were pretty friendly and were looking at me with big smiles on there faces, they enjoyed the shade under the plane and after ten minute were all lying on top of each other in the shade.....
After three hours everything was over and I got to go back home....
Nice experience....apart from the crap plane, no seatbelts, no toilet (except the empty coke bottle), the tap was half a water bottle upside down and I could send messages while up in the air, until I left Azerbaijan and the pilot had no problem with my phone on....
Nice to be back though.....
Missed you all!! |
