Is there an online resource/website that helps determine which network a particular UK cellphone number is on? For example, 07717****** is on Vodafone .

Thing is, I'm not sure how accurate things like that will be as more people now are porting their numbers across, i.e. someone originally on Orange changing their contrat to O2 and taking their existing orange number with them

Someone should update that list then make it available on the net, wap or any other resource (possibly as an application for phones) considering how much more cross-network costs are, compared to same network calls!
Preferably someone who has the time..

Ok, that is a problem too.
So they'll have to make it of a network service, the ability to search and check what network the number is on. Is that possible? If so, most likely they'd make money out of it.
