My mate used to have a CD that came free with Max Power car magazine, that had loads of bassey test things

Haven't got it in mp3 form or anything though

whats your config??? cards + speakers?? creative??? the bass i really love to hear is from the song "nothings gonna stop us now - starship" post yours too so that i can check out the bass from your song....

Showing my age a bit, but......Theres an CD by a band called Boston called Third Stage. On it theres a track called Start the Engines, which is like a starship firing up to leave orbit or something. Sounds great on a good Bass rig ! Really shakes the room !

if you have any dvds have a look and see if they are thx certified as these usually come with a thx optimizer on the dvd in the extras bit.
both the star wars films and x men have it on (there will be others)
its designed to set up thx home cinema but works for all set ups bar a few thx specific settings.
it will even help set up your display ie brightness contrast etc so you can get the sound and vision as close on your system to what the director intended

never used it so dont know if its any good but it may be of some use to you
