Hi, please could someone tell me the format for sending a text message FROM the uk to the US, and from the US to the UK.
UK=+44
US=+01 (i think!?)
i dont know how to work it...i.e if my phone number is
012345678910
would it be
+01(1234567891)?
argh!
thanks,

dude! always remove 0 (this applies to any country code). the format should always be +countrycode & mobile phone#
e.g. +11234567

right..ok...lemmie see...
Sheffield code is 0114
UK code is +44
i know dialing INWARD (country > UK) it would be
for mobiles it's just
+44123456789
---------------------------------------------------------
UK > America
(the US mobile number i wanna dial doesnt start with a 0 like UK ones do)
argh confusion! |

To call Sheffield from the US would be +44114 (leave out the zero from the area code)
To call the US from Sheffield would be +1 (US area codes do not have leading zeros so no prob.)
It does imply that the US were much smarter at setting their area codes doesn't it. Having to remember to drop the zeros can be confusing sometimes.
