i have a k700, one of my friend has a samsung e700, the problem is i am not able to send anything to his phone using ir, but i can receive. is there a problem with k700's ir ?

by the the way i have r2l.

You sure it's not a problem with the E700?

I've attempted to send a picture to one once with my T630 and it didn't work.

samsung ir is not really greatly compatible with other brands ( being one of them)

I also have the impression that it's the Samsung's IR that has some issues since I can't send anything to a friend's SGH-S300.

samsung phones will not communicate with other phones (including other samsung phones) via ir
you can not send or receive anything to and from samsung's ir port.
samsung's ir is made for only one purpose... to connect with a computer and work as a modem.
my logic is undeniable.

Good to know the problem is not with the k700, i was worried for a second. Samsung needs to take care of this problem or atleast adopt bluetooth.
