SanDisk unveiled a new range of memory cards that feature double the speed of their predecessor. The Extreme III memory cards will be available in Compact Flash, SD and Memory Stick PRO, and can transfer from 18MB/sec for Memory Stick PRO, to 20MB/sec for CF and SD. The cards are rated to work in extreme temperatures ranging from –25C to +85C, almost extreme enough to work on most Canadian winter days.

A 4GB Extreme III CF card will run you around $560 USD, a 2GB SD will be about $140 USD and the 1 GB Memory Stick Pro will go for $280 USD, they will begin shipping this October.

@axxxr - Good to see new worthwhile posts coming from you dude ! The prices of those memory cards can already get me brand new latest fone models mate - very expensive indeed ! I hope that their counterparts can release accessories with the same specs so prices will be competitive enough for the buying public . . .

@axxxr - As I am having 2nd thoughts 'bout this thread's - 'title' . . . Looks like I've never heard of that brand - 'Scandisk' After seeing the images attached (cards), Yes, it was a 'Sandisk' after all, one of my preferred accessories (aside from the origial Nokia mmcs), never hangs or corrupts when transferring datas from my PC !

This is of course only for professional use.
For normal users Sandisk ULTRA II will do fine.
