Is anyone knowledgable about those little MP3 Player/Flash Drives you get that plug into your USB port?

Mine stopped working a little while ago. As in, the PC no longer registers that it is plugged in and no longer shows it as a removable drive in Windows Explorer. It seems to be completely dead. I have tried it on a couple of PCs and know it is definitely the flash drive as opposed to the machine.

Is there nothing for it but to throw it away or am I missing something which might bring it back to life?

But can you listen music at all? What device is it? Have you checked that the device isn't maybe 'locked'? I had MSI and it had lock on the side, like USB key. Try finding it. :-)
