My life is full of memorable soundbytes which i remember because they are so memorable. Im going to post one of them, with an explanation, every so often, in an effort to immortalise my unique wisdom, values and morals.
Ill start with the 2 which are in my head right now.

1. "You can't respect someone who kisses your ass."
-Quote from a movie, the name of which escapes me.
Meaning: It's self explanatory, if someone kisses your ass too much you quickly lose respect for them. This is especially true in a relationship.

2. "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy."
-Quote taken from a sign behind the bar at the Uplander Hotel, Rossland, BC Canada.
Meaning: Drunken jibberish, but it sounds funny. [addsig]

One that I think is quite true is the one in my signature, the Edward Burke one.

3. "Up the bum no babies!"
-Quote often heard from a drunken Stephen Onuwangamutu Puletaha, a nuean friend of mine and previous work colleague in New Zealand. This quote originated from a bald, toothless West Aucklandar we know only as "Shane".
Meaning: Duh!

Hmmm . . . . but what I was pertaining there mate is for the protagonist (boxer) giving out punches to his enemy than him 'receiving' punches, as it may result to TKO !
