This is actually a suggestion made by seiunUsagi thru a private message.

What are those common acronyms we see in the Esato Market forums

FS or F/S - For Sale
Usage: FS:T630
Explanation: A poster is selling a T630.

LF or L/F - Looking For
Usage: LF: Bluetooth Dongle
Explanation: A poster is looking for a bluetooth adapter.

FT or F/T - For Trade
Usage: FT: T68 for T39
Explanation: A poster is offering a T68 to trade with a T39.
---------------------
What do I do when I manage to sell/buy/trade my item?

When an item is sold, we encourage the thread starter to edit his/her original thread and add "SOLD" (or "FOUND" or "DONE", whichever you find is appropriate) into the title.

It would also be nice if you do not edit the rest of the message so that it could serve as a reference for others (i.e. knowing the market value of an item).

---------------------
I live in [name your place here]. How do I know if the buyer or seller is interested in sending over the item s/he is selling?
Sometimes (and we do recommend it), a poster usually includes information about his/her location by adding a country code in the thread title.

For example, if you see "PH" affixed in the thread title, then the offer is made in the PHilippines[/b]. Some posters spell the location in full, while the some uses the internet country codes.

Some people prefer local transactions only. While others are probably amenable to international sales. Check with the buyer or seller.

---------------------
How do I know who to trust in the market forum?
We have a voluntary, peer-to-peer feedback system: Esato Market: A-Z of Trusted Sellers.

---------------------
Where does ESATO stand on transactions made through the ESATO market forum?
Your business transactions with other ESATO users are assumed to be taken at your own risk. ESATO cannot be made responsible for any misunderstandings or transaction failures as these are beyond our control.

The market forum merely exists as a medium of communication for the convenience of ESATO users and are to be taken at face value - it does not go beyond that.

Business transactions resulting from messages you post in the market forum are considered private transactions betwen you and your buyer (or seller). However, if any of the users violated any of the ESATO rules, then that's the only time the moderators can act on it otherwise, nothing can be done about it.

In the market forums, please remember:
Caveat Emptor (or more accurately, transact at your own risk)

An additional food for thought on the same subject from a fellow Pinoy, bonito99:
Quote:
Transactions are consummated or finalized upon reaching an agreement, not on the payment of the price.
