Hi
I like many of you bought a usb data/charger cable off ebay, saving about $30 in the process. Even though it had problems recognizing the phone, it finally connected and works ok at times now.

However, does anybody else hear loud pitch sounds everytime the cable is connected to the computer?? I'm not sure if it's interference or what not, but everytime the cable needs to transfer data, it would emit this high pitch sound coming from my motherboard it seems. If I play around with it a bit, it even makes a sound when no phone is connected at all!!!

Any suggestions?? It gets sooo annoying!
Thanks.

I sorta figured out what was the problem. It isnt a problem with the cable since it works fine on another computer. The squealing noise is coming from my crappy Asus K8VSE Motherboard. The 3 coils beside the CPU is making the noise. Cant believe Asus does not recognize this problem with their boards.

Now I gotta find some adheasive to fix it. Has anybody done this before?
Thanks.

have this problem 2 when transferring data with BT to my phone.
Think the northbridge chip is causing this. but only for a very short period.
Also have this when uploading/downloading some data to another pc.
Does no harm [addsig]
