k700 and bluetooth - just says connecting all the time |

i have been trying to bluejack people with my k700 and was testing it with a friend who has a nokia n gage and when i tried to send something it comes up connecting for ages and just seems to hang and nothing happens
is there any type of settings or something i need to get it to work |

upgrade firmware? you must have R1A041 many people reported that they had problems with bluetooth on that firmware.. i myself managed to connect to all devices and send / receive, except a p800 to which i could send but i couldn't receive anything from it. R1L001 now for me, everything works fine

put a modem init string in the computer / handheld you are dialling from. the init string is simply the letter Z. This solved that problem for me, when trying to use this with my Ipaq 2210.

my software is r2ao41
can i just ask what does the k700i come with in the box because mine is second hand it it just came with a charger and headphones, did it come with a data cable and software suite and charging cradle cos ill need to connect to my pc to download the update

I have the same problem, and I have the R2a firmwire, you should have in the box a CD with the software on, but you can always download it from the se web site, im now looking for my nearest SE service centre. My k700 is only 2weeks old so bit dissapointed that i have to upgrade the fone already and why dont se send out phones with latest firmware on them? |

my k700i was second hand and didnt come with the software im going to download it now
but i need to buy a sync station first
it amazes me y se dont supply the sync station or data cable with the phone
for the price you pay u expect everything to be with it
i just bought a sync station off ebay so i will be able to update 2moro and use mp3 as ringtones |
