Here's anothr tip that can be useful when you use the phone as a mp3 player: If you start the media player and just let it start playing the first file it finds, it will continue with the next file in the sounds directory when the previous one has ended, this is fine until it starts playing your ring signals and other sounds that may be stored in the same catalog. Therefore, I created a new folder and called it "My playlist", and I put all my mp3 music tracks in that folder. Then, when the media player reaches the last file in the list, it starts over with the first one.
Another tip is, that the order in which the tracks are played is the order that they were put in the folder. To re-order, I think it's possible to move the track out of the folder and then in again, thus making that file appear first in the list.
Of course, when using the phone as a mp3 player, it's advisable to edit the mp3 files in some audio editing tool first, and lower the sample rate in order to reduce the size of the files. |

Blade encoder, http://bladeenc.mp3.no/ It's freeware and it works for both the mobile phone and for other apps. You can set the bitrate with switches or in a configuration file. |
