Im now starting to get the most out of my T68m (upgraded to i) thanks to this website. One thing that does annoy me though is the cost of Bluetooth equipment. a minimum of £150 for a headset? go away! Its, on average, an extra £100 for a Bluetooth enabled PDA. Pah!

Luckily Im a Apple user at home and a Bluetooth USB adapter in only £41 from the online Apple shop, an absolute steel compared to around £100-£150 for the same thing, but for a PC. Looks like i'll have to stick to the IR port when using a PC.

was looking into a Bluetooth car-kit, but you are talking stupid money.

the whole selling point behind this new tech was that bluetooth was not going to be expensive all the talk of a few years ago was a cheap and innovative way to connect several devices. but promise after promise has been forgotten and now we have to pay inflated prices just to get the most out of our great phones pda's and p.c's. Is it not time for less bullshite and for these companies to tell how it is from the beginning so we dont get caught up with having to have something, once we have the first part. It's like having a jigsaw puzzle costing £2.50 then the last 5 pieces costing 3x the price of the whole thing coz they connect oh so easily or something. Despite being told that the extre bits will be cheap and affordable, a real steel!!!! yeah right well i have had my whinge what do you think?

true, a bluetooth chip costs less then 5 dollars to produce, but since we're the "early adpators" we can pay the research costs and of course a significant amount of "gadgeteers taxes"

right, R&D are huge costs that the company has to make a large profit in order to have the incentive to make the investment...as well as make up for money lost in other ventures.
