Why did you buy a T68 instead of another Phone? |

Ok why exactly did some of you buy your phone?
I have been living in Italy for three years and I have changed my phone at least 6 times.
I have bought Nokia (5110, 7110, 8210)
Motorola (v3688, V50,)
Ericsson (T28, T68)
That is an average of at least 3 times a year. All of these phones are ok. Nothing especially wrong with them. But I keep changing.
The T68 that I own now is the phone I have owned the longest. I have absolutly no intention of changing it in the immediate future. Because someone has finally got it right. Ericsson has finally made a phone that has everything that I need in one model. Of course it's not perfect but it is better than anything else on the market.
Cheers,
Guy

Everybody here in the UK own Nokia phones. Lets face it, they are all the same. The only difference between them is the look and battery life. All Ericssson phone have that 'individuality' factor, and there is this close-nit community with Ericcson owners; this web site being a prime example.
I've had three Nokia phones, and the only difference between them was the size and battery life. I've owned the Nokia Orange 5.1 (did that take some punishment!), nk702 and a 6210. All had the same features and operated the same, I'll go as far to say Nokia phones are for idots!!!!
bet that will get up some people's shirts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i needed a phone that works in America and that has wap, so Nokia was out of the question!! I was looking at the T39 and a couple of motorollas. Well the motorollas were rather crap so i was after the T39, but then I saw the T68 and decided to wait to see how much it would be. When the T68 finally became available at my local shop, it was only £20 more than the T39 so i thought well, might aswell get the T68. BTW I had a nokia 8310 for 2 months whilst waiting for the T68 and what a crap phone!!! I prefered my ancient 3210 (my first ever phone bought first week it came out falling apart now lolol)

I thought about buying the 8310 because the T68 was sooooo expencive when it was released in Sweden. So i thought why not try Nokia for the first time, but then i talked to a friend and he said he could fix a brand new T68 for less then the 8310. The only downside is that i had to use Telia for 2 years. But i already had Telia and is satisfied with them. I got the phone in december after a month wait for about 2400sek. |

Ericsson T68 was the only phone with a color-screen on the market when I bought it. As a true tech-geek, I was almost forced to buy this phone, which turned out to be THE perfect phone!

It appear's Ericsson have finally over taken Nokia in the Uk when it comes to professional handsets. I've had just about every Nokia going, 702,3210,5110,8210,8850,8310 the problem I found is they never got any better. I was so disappointed when I received the new 8310 I sold it the following week. I'm so glad I've discovered the T68, you'd never find a website like this for Nokia!!
Hate Nokia,love Ericsson!!!
When are we getting some new handsets??

I've always had Ericsson starting with the 337, then the amazing 388 (the golden days of Ericsson, that was a phone built to operate under the worst conditions on this planet) and was followed by the 688(the move towards Nokia standards) then came the T28 (for Ericsson it was the begining of the Industrial age and their comeback to the Mobiles market) after that I got the T28 world then came the T39 for 1 Month till I saw the T68 and I fell in love....
It had a color screen, No antenna, a joystick, IR, , GPRS, Wap...I surfed the net for a week looking for a worthy oponent I couldn't even find a challenger, and now with the upgrade I think we're in a category of our own. Sony Ericsson products have become a culture of their own as previously stated this site is the proof.
Enjoy it while it lasts, It's not getting to the top that counts but staying up there
P.S. I did buy a Nokia 8210 and had it for 2 weeks (yes I'm ashamed to say so but I did actually).........waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa |

I hate people wearing the same clothes as me, same with phones.
Also T68 was the best phone on the market, the only other decent phone was the 8310, which is no match.
Also the phone has SonyEricsson written behined the battery, New menu system ,i hated the T18, it was very difficult to alter anything.
And of course CoLoUr.

being in the states, but traveling to europe every year, I have been waiting for a major carrier to go GSM, so I could get my hands on a better phone. The T68i is the best phone I have owned, at last count I have had about 12 in the past ten years.
Gotta hand it to Ericsson, with gprs and bluetooth, I am set.
(I don't count Voice Stream as a major carrier, they suck. Sorry T mobile!) |

I had an Ericsson R520m but i thought i had became a bit old(no colour display ) and as my brother had an T68 it was an very intresting alternative. But as a student my economy isn't the best so I also looked at T65 as i has GPRS and a very nice price.
But as i need IR to connect it to my computer T65 wasn't that good and what tha heck, T68 looked nice and has everything you can imagine from a mobile phone, it was the only way to go
And I can say that i haven't regret it at all... i love my T68! |
