Hi, very useful reply, however can anybody please let me know which cables are supported?
I dont even know the ref of the ericsson cable that I have, is it RPM 113 7658 R1A?
Is any cable supported, or do you have to actually use the desktop stand?

ONLY THE DSS20 AND DSS25 CAN BE USED FOR ONLINE UPDATE! This has been said many times and it would have been found very quickly if people used the search! |

Cool, but I thought that it did not come with a cable, so do I simply sit it on my desk?
Call me stupid but I thought that it would have to connect to my PC.
In case it does, which CABLE is supported?

the DSS-20 and DSS-25 are desk stands with an integrated USB cable, i.e. it is fixed into the stand at one end and is not detachable.
The cable is not anything separate that you can buy

Or you can use the CSS-25 with a DCU-11 cable, if you want charging, sync and speakerphone functionality all-in-one.
Not sure if this is readily available in the UK yet, though, as I bought mine from HK.

But you cant use the CSS20 and USB cable for online update. You can only do an online update useing a DSS20 or DSS25.

err....are we talking at cross-purposes here?
You can't use the CSS-20 at all, as it is solely a speaker/charging stand. The CSS-25, however, can connect your Pxxx to the PC via a DCU-11 and should be able to do exactly the same as a DSS-20/25, drivers permitting.

CSS-20 can actually connect, via a cable, to a PC as well, that is why I thought that there would just a cable that I could buy and plug it into the bottom of my phone.
Therefore saving myself money.
I just had an argument with a meathead from the link, who tried to tell me that the CDS-11 was the one that I was looking for. Even though I specified the model no to him DSS-20/25. They are so thick!

DSS20 is very hard to find on the high street. You will probably need to get it off the web from mobilefun or ebay.
