@ caff

I wouldn't have thought so. When it's down, it usually says so. To me, it sounds like you need to update Java. This is the most common cause of this kind of problem.

Go to http://www.java.com and click the 'Java Software Download' button.

Let us know how you get on. [addsig]

@ boyi

Let me see if I can shed some light.

I too have an Orange K700i, which came with R2AC, like yours. When I tried to update it using the SEUS, I got the same error. Then I tried to update my 2 friend's phones that had ealier versions, and it worked perfectly. I then tried my friend's that also has R2AC, and again, it didn't work. After a bit of searching of the forums, it appeared that there was a problem updating Orange-branded K700i handsets that had R2AC.

I contacted Sony Ericsson, who acknowledged the fault and requested logfiles, etc. After months of "investigating", they informed me that it was impossible to find the fault. This really got to me. They can find the fault in their own service?

So I unbranded and unlocked my handset, and changed the CDA number. Now it's just like a SIM-free handset, and I can update using the SEUS.

That would be my recommendation. Not only will you be able to use the SEUS, but it's so much better than with the Orange customisation! You can set shortcuts for the joystick, the right button is now 'More' instead of 'Camera', and a lot more.

Even if you don't want to unbrand, I hope the information about why the SEUS isn't working for you helps.

As I said, because they have a firmware version prior to R2AC when updating, which there is no problem with. The SEUS only doesn't work for those with an Orange K700i with R2AC specifically. [addsig]
