Hi,
I have the latest fw installed in my phone. Supposedly it is now possible to suppress that silly shutter noise while taking a picture. How do one do that? |

Turn your speaker volume down to zero and that should do the trick.

Thanks, but that's not satisfying, You've got to have a phone call first to lower the volume and then take pics.
Weird that Ericsson did'nt do anything better. |

The shutter noise is a "safety feature" from
The problem these days is that everyone can run around and take pictures of anyone and do what ever thay want with it.
By having the shutter noise the "victim" has a chance to "defend" them self.
I agree that there should heve been an option to turn it on silent, for use in places where the sound of a camera is interupting. Churches during weddings for instance. But what I just said is the answer I got when I asked about it some time ago.

You'll have to take a real camera to the wedding then

I've heard in some countries there is a law that the noice has to be on when taking photos with the phones since there was a woman taking pictures in the womens' locker room and selling them to porno sites

Well, why not having a sound on all small cams then???
Anyway, SE could have chosen a "nicer" sound. Not like someone being smashed! |

My K700 doesn't make a noise when taking pictures in silent mode! When I press and hold down the '#' key, then take a photo using the 'capture' soft key, the phone doesn't make a sound at all. Is this a firmware or a regional thing, I wonder?
