Hi everyone, got my k700i yesterday fantastic phone, pity it has the R2A041 software (anyone got the firmware they can send me for sim free uk model?)

anyway here are the things id like to see modified to make this phone even more perfect! feel free to add to the ideas! but this isnt a bug reporting thread theres a thread for that!

In Txt msg'd recieved, Option to show time of when it was sent from sender not time recieved.

**************

When you recieve txts when the screen in off (In standby) flash the red low battery light every couple of secs to say you have a text (On my software it was in standby and i got two txts without even being notified! but even if it did ...maybe i was out the room, it went back into standby and i didnt know about it)
******Just found out that when you have the clock displayed it shows you a txt msg icon, even tho i use the clock now that i discovered it it would be good to have it for when you havent got the clock on to save power*********

**************

Calandar to have recuring events i.e birthdays anniversarys (Sorry but i loved my nokia for this shame this great phone cant do it)

**************

Some MSG to say battery has fully charged (a full icon doesnt tell me its fully charged and if the phones turned of it will say "charging" weather the batteries full or not)

**************

I dunno about others, but my sim free phone when starting up searches for ages to find the network and i cant do anything till it finds it, my nokia whould find the network almost instantly (unless im thick and missed a setting)

**************

Custom text alert tones

**************

Battery indicator bar on screen when in standby underneath the clock would be good, really good if it was done with a percentage full sign
[______5|0%______]

one of these on the normal battery indicator would be good too! keep icon same size could fit 2 digits in there

**************

Ability to rename extensions on the phone! (Grrr annoys me!)

**************

Have more than one mobile/home number per contact (I know theres an option for others but i like to put peoples multiple mobile numbers under mobile)

**************

Default dial number (so when you go into phonebook it doesnt start on home it can be set to work or mobile by default.... I know im nictpicking but i liked that in my nokia)

**************

Ability to see all folders from all applications (I like to hide private pictures/vids/music so put them in the "others" folder)
A folder you can put a password on would be nice! and even better one thats totally hidden that will only appear if you press a code on the main screen

Also problem i noticed, i moved a file from sounds into a subfolder called music and when i went in i couldnt move it back and it says play video even tho its an mp3! (this was when going thru media player menu, going into managed files let me move it back)

**************

Oh ringing tones, midi files mp3's and the like all to be around the same volume instead of changing from really loud to really quiet when scrolling thru tones

**************

Preview a themes desktop without having to change it, takes ages when applying.

Right thats me done! Dont get me wrong, nokia fan till now, totally an SE fan now! impressed with everything on the phone, from quality of the software, very light screen thats easy to see (my7210 was too dark) and the fact when viewing pictures the light stays on forever!... well i guess the battery might die soon

Hope you like my contribution to this good looking community!

Hmm another option that would be good, i took a picture with the cam last night, had it set to 640x480 and then tried to sent it as a picture msg but it said file was too big, so a convertor option on the phone would be good.

Come on guys, contribute! no features youd like adding to the phone?

Will explain what i want to see added thru an example
Lets say I want to look for the name Susan in my contacts. In Nokia I would have keyed in 'S', 'U' and it would have led me to the contact.
In SE, I key in 'S' it takes me to the first name beginning with S. Next if i press 'U' it takes me to the first name beginning with U.
Hope this thing can be changed

@jagok700i - Better have your firmware upgrade dude - R2L... ! Then after a week see if all the things you've posted here got a major - change/improvement or just totally have been eradicated for good! Good Luck dude . . . Well, honestly I haven't upgraded mine either, but the trouble is tolerable/manageabale I guess - just minus the poor battery life!

Memory card, better battery, most of things you guys said, and, big mistake SE made-they made very bad HTML browser, I would like something like Opera, or even something like WebViewer. I had a Nokia 6230, and when you look at pic, you can zoom in, it is very useful when you have extended resolution pic. Those pics can't fit to the screen, and it would be good if you could zoom them... I'll post more as soon as I remember other things I would like to change...

With the sent message list visible or when viewing a received text, press 'More' then details to show when the message was sent and when it was received.

Also, im Sent Items, use 'More' to tell you when you sent the text (a useful feature missing from T610 IIRC!).

I'd like for my phonebook to be reliable..
If i scroll through my phonebook sometimes it displays the same phonenumber beneath different contacts. So in order to be sure i give someone someone-else's number correctly, i have to press "more" and "edit before call" or "view and edit" in order to be sure it's the correct number.
Grrr.

you have to step into your contacts ->choose contact to edit with the wrong number ->more ->standart -> cellnumer (or which you prefer). then it works (i had the same problem, but now it works correctly...)

You can set recurrent alarms, like birthday dates, by sync with outlook...you just have to put the birthday dates on the require field in Outlook...itīs easyer than make it in the phone
