Optimum Initial Charge K700i |

After searching around the forums, I have a question
My k700i is on charge - and now after an hour and 30mins the it is fully charged etc
Some ppl have said leave it for 4 hours - but surely if the phone doesn't allow overcharging once battery is full - then whats the point.
Some people have said first charge of 6+ hours gives them gd battery life.
Is this true or just pure foolishness?
Also if I use the phone now - is it best to use it til battery runs out completely?
Cheers for clearing up any myths/ facts! |

Try unpluging it and then pluging it straight back in, I heard that works. To keep charging it for the full recomended time. |

In theory, the longer you pump charge into a battery, the further you push the boundaries of its charge threshold.
Also, you should run it flat a few times initially to prevent the memory effect (http://www.batterybank.com/page18.html) |

hi, i gave my k700i an initial charge of about 4 hours. Although the batter indicator is at full bar and no longer moving, the label still says "charging". I still unplugged it cuz i was afraid of overcharging it. the second time, i charged it for over 10 hours, but the charging label still says "charging" even though the battery indicator is at full bar.
can someone pls tell me why the charging label does not change to "fully charged"? im using bst-30 battery.
thanks! |
