Nice. How did this happen? Was the phone being charged? We might as well call it explokia now. 6230 in my opinion is good replacement.

IMO the 6210 was/still is a better phone than the 6310..
My first 6210 lasted 4 years before my sonīs dog chewed it up
During that time it never ever malfunctioned once, never got a FW update *those were the days when phones worked as they were supposed to on delivery*
Always lasted at least six days on a charge.
So, if you donīt need BT in 6310i, go for a 6210 instead and save some money in the process.

Hmm.. I think I would have replaced the car kit, seems to me that itīs the car kit, not the phone that is causing all this shite?!

na it aint the car kit he replaced that once and the fone still did it... and whenever the phone stufs up he uses the spare phone which is a 5110 and that always works fine in the car kit
well anyway heres a pic:

Cant see pic on wap, it must be a generic problem with that particular series.

Or perhaps it's another exploding nokia battery. Like the ones we had about a year ago. They then said it was caused by non original 'pirate' batteries. Yet it might as well have been a cover up for a faulty batch as some consumer organisations claimed.
Just watch out for them nokias ;-)
