Are there any information about the reliability of the flip mechanism? Is it true that clamshell phones in general and Z600 in particular are quickly damaged by too much openings and closings? If yes, how to keep flip phones well working for months or years ? ( keep ir opened on desk and only closing it when in pocket etc...?) Thanks.

Simple solution. Dont open and close it just for fun every minute. T28 was complained many times cos the faulty flip, never had problems with mne. I am not a flip or clamshell fan, wish to avoid the extra move to pick up the fone or do other things.

I've had my Z600 for 9 months now and the hinge is still in perfect working condition. I don't do anything out of the ordinary but I don't put any extra strain on the hinge either. Just treat it normally and it will be fine.

Aslong the click sound is there at opening or closing the fone, there should be no problem.
