BB code trouble in wap |

Of late at times on wap the output of the bb code is not appearing but just the source code. For e.g. The url of the smiley is showing not the smiley.

I know that that's why I bought up the topic as it never used to happen before.

Why this happens? It would have been good if we could use smiles via wap

On HTML Light the smilies and such work but if anyone posts a web link like the one in my sig it shows the whole [url=etc.etc rather than just the words that should form the link.

that would be because the smilies display are coded in html and BB code is NOT html....... hence it will not work on html light
You phone will not understand BB code anyway so I am a bit confused why people say it did in the past. To my knowledge it NEVER did at all.... not on wap html light.

smilies are supposed to work. It's BB code that is not supposed to work on html devices

Vlam, what are you talking about? Bbcode is a php replace string that will be replaced on the server, not your phone....it will work on html, wml, and all the versions in between....including html lite.
