Problems synchronising with Outlook 2003 |

I've been happily synchronising contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between my K700i and Outlook 2002 using bluetooth, cable - all fine. I upgraded to Outlook 2003 (on Windows XP Professional) and now I have all sorts of problems. If I select all categories (contacts, calendar, etc.) in the Synchronisation settings it always fails with "Synchronisation failed" and "The device failed to add one or more items". After this happens I noticed appointments in my calendar were messed up - some appointments now appeared multiple times. After some experimentation I found I could synch contacts on it's own, calendar on it's own or tasks on it's own - selecting all 3 and it's back to the "Synchronisation failed" error. Synchronising notes always fails with this error.
I downloaded the latest version of the synchronisation s/w from sonyericsson.com - no difference
Any ideas? |

I have a similar problem.
I have Outllok 2003 and a 750i, using hte SE usb cable. I worked fine the first time now I get the error message each time. I is as if it 'bumps into' the Outlook request for permission to access it and reports and error at that stage.... |

I fixed by addig items one ata time (ie Calaendar, the n contracts etc)
I think it wasthe tasks that overwhelmed it and ran out of space. |

I also use Office 2003 and I found that it tends to crash and then create duplicates in Outlook if you set the calendar entries margins too wide and the phone calendar reaches its entries limit. (the time in the past and how far in the future). This will depend on how many calendar entries you have. Anyway, I set mine to 90 days in the past and 365 days in the future.
This should do the trick, if not, uninstall the software in add/remove programs and reinstall again. Remember to delete all current calendar entries on the phone before you sync, else you gonna get duplicates. Seeing as you currently have this problem, you should also delete the duplicates in Outlook beforehand.
I know its long-winded but afterwards you should be OK. It worked for me as I had a similar problem as you.
Let us know what you gonna do and if any advice has helped.
