Hello guys and gals. I just bought a Nokia 6310i and I find it loaded with important features. The phone is triband and has features such as Bluetooth, General Packet Radio Service and Java applications. Don't get me wrong though, I also have Ericsson units (T68i and R520m). Thanks. I just need your opinion about this babe. |

I did the same. I find the 6310i to be a marvel. Easier to use and navigate than the t68i and my t39m. Chat feature - e mail - name look up - all easier. Nokia has nailed it with this phone plus the battery lasts forever - I can talk for hours without so much as a line loss on the battery meter. Bummer - no repeat alarm function. Other than that I rate this phone at a 9.9 - and my T68i at 9.5 in comparison. I love my ericsson phones - but think I may use the 6310i for a bit. |

Just looked at pics of 6310i and my mate has a 6310 and its like a long boat and heavy. Not light and petite like T68i. No thanks and you can keep java downloads for virus's for your 6310i as well

Guys, if email is the problem, 6310i has java applications. I just downloaded an email client from www.midlet.org. It's a very cool site where you can download java applications for java-enabled phones. For the repeat-alarm function, the phone has it too. Just go to calendar and go to a specific note you made. Press option and you can find the repeat-alarm function. Goodluck guys. By the way, the killer email application I got can view attachment. |

To Can1. Here's my answer if java-enabled devices could be infected with viruses: The Java environment provides very good security measures that are accompanied by additional security measures taken in the mobile phone environment. MIDP Java is capable of a tight sandbox model with application access only to the phone user interface and memory area specifically assigned to MIDP Java application. The networking interface will be tuned to make sure no undesired access can be obtained. Typically, user confirmation is requested for any action that may cause costs to the user. |
