It is 12 years since I had my last education in German, but I belive that schadenfroh is the adjective and Schadenfreude is the noun. So (if I am right) you were not so wrong anyway.

In Norwegian the word translates directly to skadefryd. 95% chance for it being similar in Danish and Swedish (skadfr�jd?). The word is a loan from German or Low-German.

In Icelandic it is meinf�sni.

And where a joke is ok...... it's already quite discomforting to see my body parts discussed so I also suggest you stop it right here.

[edit] i only want to come to an esato where people don't fight all the time. that does BY NO MEANS mean I have to let every comment slide. It also does BY NO MEANS mean that people can say whatever they want to me. Yes I will try to hold my temper. And yes I will count till ten before I post.

But don't you dare suggest I cannot respond to any post 'in my won special way' when I feel compelled to do so.

Finally..... Lynx and I are not arguing and nobody was offended at any time so try not to make it look that way please. This is supposed to be a godd***ned EASY GOING LIGHT HEARTED part of the forum.
