Prices are very good, starting from £919 for a 17" 1.6GHz G5, I'll probably get a 20" one next year, when Tiger is released. (I might have enough money then )

I'm still to own/play with a Mac, would this be a good one? I know they are common place in primary schools so if I didn't like it I know I could donate it locally.

Any new Mac is a good one! What's not to like? Stunning design, legendary ease-of-use, Mac OS X, best bluetooth on any platform, no viruses, doesn't run Windows! All plus points!
