1. How about SD cards which is a more "advance" one? Any model using SD cards?
2. As far as i know a SLOT which supports SD card will definitely can support MMC card, is it true? |

the basic differences between all those is the physical sizes, performance of each and the cost, and yes, and SD slot will support MMC (as MMC is the predeccessor of SD) but an MMC slot won't support SD as SD is slightly thicker
compact flash is easily the cheapest format (I just bought 1gb for 70 pounds last week) but I don't think any phones use that as its also the largest

@cyberkid - SD and MMC are fairly compatible but don't share all functions. e.g. my Palm will read either card but only write to SD.

1.Besides MMC, wht kind of memory card does a phone use in expandable memory slot?
2.And wht is the maximum storage of the mobile phone? Or it depends on the size of MMC? In this case means the phone storage is unlimited as long as the size of the MMC keep growing (32->64->128->256->512->............) ?

well do we have to name all formats and all models which use them?
i can think of these: sd,mmc,ms duo (pro),t-flash, rs-mmc, mini-sd,
and considering that ipaq started it's line of smartphones i can imagine you can use cf and sm cards wih an adapter, and of course normal ms cards with a p800 adapter..... |
