We have a dispute with a company called 3Business http://www.mms3.com/gr_t68.php They have downloaded all logos from the Esato website and are now selling them to third party sites without our approval.

327 of the logos they are offering are marked internally with the text string "Logo taken from the Ericsson T68 logo collection at Esato.com" I have personally created these. The rest of the logos are uploaded by our members: you. Please check their website and send them an email if you are the copyright owner of one of these logos, and want 3Business to remove the logo you uploaded to Esato.

The intention with creating the Esato logo system was that this should be free for personal use. It still is, and will probably be so forever. I feel this company is playing unfair here. Please express your opinion.

Sigh, what a bunch of losers

"At MMS3, excellence is our top priority. The quality, skills and experience of our employees and executive team are what will truly impress you. We work to deliver what you need on almost any timetable within almost any budget."

Some experts...

You can rip those LOGO's out by just screen capturing and using PS to take whatever logo you want anyways

Laffen>>

Why don't you disable people's right mouse button on your website so that only registered users can download the logos using WAP. I know it sounds harsh but I guess its just one of the ways to protect from these sick pirates.

Another thing I have noticed is that you have not put a disclaimer or terms of use in your logo section. I think you should specifically put up a notice saying that the logos are for personal use and should not be copied for commercial purposes.

At the end of the day there is just so much one can do to protect the contents in this website. I guess others will come up with some good ideas as well.

Laffen may I offer my services,

The people at the Gansta Corporation promise to deliver a fast and speedy service to our customers, eliminating any rivals that dare piss them off.

Seriously you can sue them for breach of copyright, you've got proof that they have copied your code.

Anyway who is gonna buy anything off them, when you are offering everything for free.

The thing is that this is obviously a profit making company and so they have the ability to advertise their services. Obviously them selling the logos that we can access for free is not a problem for ourselves but if you think of the newbies looking for logos the first place they are gonna find is the big shotta advertising companies. This means less people will find Esato meaning laffen and the lads loose hits and then profits from the people who advertise with them meaning less funds to spend on the site.... blah blah I could go on and on but I think if we all just send them an E-mail telling them that we know they stole the logos then maybe they would remove them. Failing that it'd have to be some kind of legal action but you can only claim on the ones that have been actually 'made' by us.

even though this slows people down... it'll never stop people if they really want to get logos. There are ways around the no right click

Mixin> Yeah I know, but still imagine trying to copy one by one without the right click... it would take so damn long. Atleast frustrate these bloody idiots who copy.

i suppose it would slow em down... but i think the best way to do it.. is not to have a pop-up saying "no right clicking"
not only would it confuse them as to why the mouse aint working, but it would slow them down aswell

Ian replied to my complaint and he says most of them were 'sent' to him! Don't know who sent it to him... and he also says Esato doesn't 'own' the rights to the logos. I will forward that mail to you if you want me to

well heres the prob they have - all T68 users I know and Im guessing for the majority here.... we all know about esato - you can bump into any T68 user in the street and they will say you been to esato lately...

So i very much doubt anyone with a T68 will actually purchase from them - If they do then theya re obviously very stupid indeed.

I bumped into users when doing my upgrade and they all mentioned Esato to me.

Keep up good work on Esato and Im sure they wont make any money off your backs.

BTW London UK here.

Come on England - congrats on sweden beating the cheating south americans. Now England can return the Favour by beating denmark and Knocking out the other CHEATING south americans Br*zil.
